Sara Levin Stevenson is a Pennsylvania native, and is excited to be back after spending the last ten years exploring the western United States. With degrees in the Classics (B.A, Colorado College, M.A, University of Washington), Sara has taught High School Latin and taken part in archaeological digs. In fact, it was after a summer on a dig that she began working for a small organic landscaping firm in Seattle, WA. Initially meant to help balance mind and body, landscaping ignited a passion for gardens and horticulture and ultimately, a new career direction. Sara volunteered at Seattle Tilth (a local garden education program) and was the 2010 Education Intern at Morris Arboretum in Philadelphia.

As a Longwood Graduate fellow, Sara is interested in the role of education at botanical gardens, specifically as it relates to community outreach and engagement.
