Nate Tschaenn has always had a strong fascination with the natural world. Fond memories of visiting botanical gardens as a child led him to choose a career in public horticulture early in life. While pursing a B.S. in Horticulture at Ohio State University, he worked in the Plant Biology Greenhouses of Ohio State and completed a summer internship at Cleveland Botanical Garden.
After graduating from Ohio State in 2006, Nate took a job working at a local nursery in Columbus, OH as the Perennial Department Manager. He then returned to Cleveland Botanical Garden and spent the next four years as a Glasshouse Specialist in charge of the Costa Rica biome before coming to Longwood.
